AL's plundering has made country dysfunctional

Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the plundering by the ruling party Awami League has turned the country into a dysfunctional state. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made this remark on Saturday in the National Press Club, Dhaka during a book launching program.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that Awami League government is fully responsible for the present condition of Bangladesh. Awami League has made the country a haven for rampage, he further said. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also blamed the government for over-evaluation of different development projects which leads to corruption.

The title of the book which was launched is "Rajneeti, Purbo Pakistan O Bangladesh". Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that it is a relevant and time befitting book. Publishing such books is difficult and praiseworthy while attempts are going on to distort history, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir commented.The book's author is Md. Harun Ur Rashid who is a BNP loyalist and former student of Dhaka University. BNP leader Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said, "I have gone through the book. A lot of things have been described in this book. Opinions of some scholars have been added. It's a very informative book. Book lovers will enjoy reading it."The program was presided over by BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy while it was moderated by BNP leader Professor Wahid Bin Imtiaz Bakul. Adviser to BNP Chairperson Abdus Salam and BNP educational affairs secretary Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam spoke on the occasion among others.
