Foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, MP paid floral tributes on Monday to Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury who was one of the influential organizers of the liberation war, a member of the presidium of the Bangladesh Awami League and the deputy leader of the Jatiya Sangsad. Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury's body was kept at the Central Shaheed Minar for people from all walks of life to pay their last respects.
Earlier, in a condolence message, the foreign minister said, "senior politician Sajeda Chowdhury played an extraordinary role in the liberation war."She played the role of one of the stalwarts of the Awami League after the assassination of Bangabandhu. The nation will remember her with respect. The contribution and sacrifice of Sajeda Chowdhury will remain for the welfare of the country's people. His death is an irreparable loss to our political arena as well as the country. Dr. Momen prayed for the repose of the soul of late Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and expressed deep condolences to his bereaved family members.
