BB Deputy Governor visits Sylhet
 
Bangladesh Bank's Deputy Governor Abu Farah Md. Naser has said that cottage, small and medium enterprises play great roles in keeping the country's economy in good shape. He made this remark on Monday while speaking at a seminar organized by Bangladesh Bank Sylhet office.

The program was presided over by Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Md. Mujibur Rahman. Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank (BB), Sylhet Branch Mohammad Mamunul Haque attended the seminar as a special guest. AKM Ehsan, Director of Bangladesh Bank gave the welcome speech at the seminar.

Business leaders, economists, academic scholars, journalists and entrepreneurs participated in the seminar. The seminar was held in the Circuit House of Sylhet.Abu Farah Md. Naser said that Sylhet is vital for the economy of Bangladesh. Millions of people from Sylhet live abroad and they send valuable remittances to Bangladesh. Sylhet is also well-known for tea and Monipuri dresses which are export items, Abu Farah Md. Naser stated.
