A training program for developing the skills of tourist police was ended in Cox's Bazar on Monday.
Starting from October 16, the two-daylong was organized by Bangladesh Tourism Board at Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Region Conference Room.
Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Habibur Rahman, head of Tourist Police Bangladesh, inaugurated the training workshop as the chief guest.
Officials from Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Region and Bangladesh Tourism Board were present at the time.
While inaugurating the training session, Additional IGP Habibur Rahman said, "Tourist police will play a vital role to build Bangladesh as 'Sonar Bangla' which Bangabandhu dreamt for."
"This training will help to develop skills, professionalism and mental strength of the tourist police personnel", he said. He urged to continue such training program for the tourist police. Later, a crest was handed over to Additional IGP Habibur Rahman on behalf of Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Region.
