Open House Day observed in Daudkandi
 
Open House Day was observed in Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla on Sunday morning with a call for cooperation of police and public for improvement of the standard of police service.

Marking the day, upazila highway police organized a meeting at its premises. Senior assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Ahmed Raziur Rahman, highway police Cumilla region, was present at the meeting as the chief guest.

Speaking as the chief guest, said, ASP Ahmed Raziur Rahman said, "Highways and Cumilla district police have an organizational philosophy and management; which involves people. Based on the partnership of the people, the government and the police, all activities of the police are aimed at crime prevention and problem solving, eliminating the causes of crime, reducing crime trends and solving various problems of the society. The motto of the Open House Day is 'Peace and order everywhere'. The police members of Daudkandi model police station and Daudkandi highway police station are working together to keep the society safe in order to eliminate and control the crime trend at every level of the society."

Chaired by Daudkandi highway police officer-in-charge (OC) Md Jahangir Alam, Daudkandi model police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Alamgir Bhuiyan, Elliotganj highway police in-charge Md Obaidul Haque, Journalist Habibur Rahman, Cumilla Uttar Zila Sramik League president and Daudkandi Pouro panel mayor Rakib Uddin spoke at the meeting as the special guests. 

Among others, Nirapod Sarak Chai Daudkandi upazila unit convener Journalist Liton Sarker Badol, Journalist Omar Faroq Miaji, Gourpur Govt Primary School principal Mst Shelina Akhter, member secretary of Nirapod Sarak Chai Daudkandi upazila unit Md Alamgir Hossain, Journalist Kamrul Haque Chowdhury and general secretary of upazila Sramik League Md Akhter Hossain were present at the meeting.  

In the open house day discussion, the speakers highlighted various aspects to prevent road accidents. Drivers, workers, public, political leaders and public representatives were also present.
