Prof. Zaheer questions decision of BMDC
 
Impulse Hospital Managing Director Professor Dr. Ali Zaheer Al Amin has questioned  Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council's decision for suspending his registration and finding no other alternative and he has to go to court with a view to defending himself for legal verdict.

Dr. Zaheer organized a press conference on November 22 at the Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association office at Segunbagicha in the capital city. He told journalists that the special committee and executive committee of BMDC making no contact with him and my patient took such impartial decision.

According to Dr. Zaheer, he obtaining medical degrees from London, Ireland, he worked there successfully more than 10 years. In addition, he never did wrong in giving my services. Under these circumstances, I can not stay silent for the initiative taken by BMDC.

Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) has suspended the registration of Professor Dr. Ali Zaheer Al Amin due to wrong treatment on a patient. Professor Dr.Ali Zaheer Al Amin Manging Director of Impulse Hospital and a specialist on ear, nose and throat, will not be allowed to practise anywhere and introduce himself as a Dr. Md. Liakat Ali, acting registrar of the MBDC, said in a letter the suspension will be effective from November 20.

According BMDC letter, Dr. Zaheer performed the surgery on the right ear of his patient MomenaKhatun Moon instead of the left one that was the problem on March 11, 2020.

As a result, the charge of wrong treatment was brought against Dr.Zaheer, BMDC sources said.
In this respect Moon's husband Ziaur Rahman Bhuiyan sued a complaint with BMDC for look into the matter and take necessary action against the Dr.
