Abdul Jalil contests for general secretary post

 
Abdul Jalil, a former leader of Cumilla Victoria University, will contest for the general secretary post of Cumilla (South) Awami League.

The triennial conference of Awami League (South) Cumilla unit will be held at Bagmara High School Ground today. Leaders and activists of Awami League are expecting huge number of people attending the conference. District leaders have visited the conference venue.  According to the party sources, the leaders and party workers are very enthusiastic centering the conference.

Abdul Jalil has been working for the party from his childhood. He joined to the politics of Chhatra League in 2001. Abdul Jalil used to attend all the activities of the party and distribute banners, posters, festoons and leaflets among common people.  In a statement, Abdul Jalil said, "I am connected with the party from my childhood. In the last general election, I relentlessly worked for boat.''

I hope that the party will nominate me for the post of general secretary of Cumilla (South) Awami League."

"Whoever is nominated by the party, I will work for him", Abdul Jalil added.
