He started young, like many others attempt with the things they love. Few are successful in turning their passion into their daily job. But Sumit is one of those few by his own merit and virtue. On one hand, he is a successful entrepreneur leading the largest digital-first agency in the country and on the other, an influential name in the local online community of programmers and freelancers as one of the best instructional content creators in colloquial and comprehensive Bangla. Sumit studied and graduated from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).
He started freelancing during his third year at the university and immediately got pulled into the diverse workspace and potential of this industry. His passion turned into a profession when he, together with a fellow classmate, formed Analyzen Bangladesh Limited – an unassuming software company based out of their hall room. Now after 14 years, the very company, turned out to be the pioneer ushering in the era of technology driven marketing solutions in Bangladesh, caters to a wide spectrum of corporate brands with the largest portfolio in the market with Sumit Saha at its helm as the Managing Director. Analyzen is also the first home-grown agency to expand outside Bangladesh with their offices in Singapore and Myanmar. One would suspect that that is quite a handful of jobs to look after on a daily basis. But Sumit has another superhero cape hidden somewhere in his closet. For his nighttime project “Learn with Sumit”, also known as LWS, is nothing short of an inspiring journey of vigilance and positive change for the society as a whole. His considerably young YouTube channel on basic programming skills got famous within a very short time due to the simple nature of the content and easy-to-digest explanations in Bangla.
The free contents with high quality educational discussions have been highly welcomed by the young learners who come online searching for assistance, and very quickly LWS became a go-to channel for many advent learners. “Back in my day there weren’t enough resources online for self-learning. It was very hard for me to keep up with the teachers in class” recalled Sumit, “Now I’m trying to make it easy for the others so that they don’t have to suffer like me. Since programming may feel complex to a beginner, I try to explain things in as easy language as possible, so that they don’t get discouraged and shy away from it for the wrong reasons.” With nearly 500 videos, more than 85 thousand subscribers, millions of views and huge impact, Sumit wants to keep going with his mission of building the next generation of skilled programmers with a strong base in basics and burning passion as bright as his own. On the other hand, his old ship Anlayzen too is on its course to expand its services outside Bangladesh across Europe and North America. The next chapters of this story can only be revealed in time.
