Azeem Shah wins best General Manager Award

Azeem Shah, Group General Manager of Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa is awarded as the Best General Manager by The World Luxury Hotel Awards. The World Luxury Hotel Awards gala ceremony took place recently in Antalya, Turkiye, where the award was announced.

After winning the best GM award Mr. Azeem Shah said,"Location, business strategy, and hotel administration are in the hands of the hotel's owners/corporate management. However, the smooth daily operation and friendly relationship with the guests are the outcome of the efforts of every single associate, and the award is our recognition. Azeem Shah was born and brought up in Australia. He is multilingual and fluent in seven languages. He has Food and Beverage Management degree, a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Masters of Business Administration degree and an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management. His passion for the outdoors includes flying light aircraft, representing his state in clay target shooting and open water diving. He is also a Justice of the Peace in Australia appointed by the Attorney General of WA.

Best GM Award winner Azeem Shah has over 30 years experience of working in the hospitality industry and has served different international five star hotels in three continents as General Manager. He worked with hotel chains like ITT Sheraton in Australia, Choice Hotels International in Australia, Indian sub-continent, Indonesia, casino hotels in Russia, Jabal Omar in Saudi Arabia, Marriott International in Bangladesh, Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel.

Azeem has won multiple awards like the World Luxury Award for the best city hotel in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for The Westin Dhaka, World Travel Award for the best hotel in 2011, 2012 & 2013 for The Westin Dhaka, Best Four Star Hotel 2003 and 2004 for Metro Hospitality Group, Best Luxury Hotel 2002 for Ali Hotel & Gold Lion Casino, Russia.

Beside winning this award Azeem Shah also became the new Co-Chairman of Bangladesh International Hotel Association for his contribution in the Tourism Industry and to ensure world-class service of every property in Bangladesh and move the whole industry forward.
