Saifur was an unparalleled personality, says Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that former finance minister M Saifur Rahman was an unparallel personality.  He made the remarks through a press release yesterday on the occasion of death anniversary of the former finance minister Saifur Rahman.  Saifur Rahman had worked for the economic development and wellbeing of the country and people irrespective of any political calculation,

Fakhrul said. He further said the countrymen and the leaders and activists of BNP will remember him always for his contribution to the nation. Fakhrul also prayed for salvation of the departed soul of Saifur. On September 4, 2009, Saifur Rahman, the former finance minister, also a former BNP standing committee member, died in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at the age of 77.
