JCI Dhaka Changemaker, a new chapter of the international voluntary organization Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh, has started its journey. The new branch of the organization was inaugurated at Banani Club on Tuesday (March 22). Newly appointed board members take oath for 1 year.
Former JCI Bangladesh National President Niaz Morshed Elite was present as the chief guest in the inaugural event. JCI Bangladesh National President Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, JCI Bangladesh Deputy President Imran Qadir and other national officials of JCI Bangladesh were also present.
Tanjina Akter has been appointed as the Local Founding President at JCI Dhaka Changemaker. In addition, 11 members of the executive committee were announced in the meeting. In addition to that, Tanzir Mannan was appointed as Local Executive Director, Sonia Rashid Rafty and MD Wahiduzzaman Sadi as Local Vice President, Rahat Ara Chowdhury as Local Secretary General, Tazkia Hassin Nithia as Local Treasurer, Md Rokonuzzaman, S M Mejba Ul Haque and Ashik Alahi Majumder as Local Directors, and Shakilur Rahman, Ishrak Ahmed as Local Committee Chairperson in the committee.
Meanwhile, National President of JCI Bangladesh Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan said that for social or personal development, networking is essential, and JCI serves as an excellent platform for it both nationally and internationally. Local Founding President Tanjina Akter said, "Our primary objective as a chapter is to make a positive impact in Bangladesh, with a particular focus on the Dhaka region. To achieve this goal, we will prioritize the development of human resources and empowering the youth."
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global membership-based non-profit organization of active citizens between the ages of 18 and 40 who are dedicated to making a positive difference in their communities. JCI Dhaka Changemaker is a new local chapter of JCI Bangladesh in its continuation.
