Aparna receives Ananya awards

Bi-monthly periodical 'Ananya' awarded ten women for their successes in establishing human, social, political and cultural rights. Among the ten women, Aparna Ghosh received the award for urging women rights through 'Mrittika Maya' and 'Sutopar Thikana' films.
Awami League joint secretary and former foreign affairs minister Dr Dipu Moni and women leaders Professor Mahfuza Khanam and Khushi Kabir handed over 'Ananya Shirsha Dosh-2015' awards at a ceremony at Khamarbari Krishibid Institution auditorium in the capital's Farmgate area on September 3.
About her award, Aparna said in the ceremony, "I don't know whether I am worthy of this award. I wanted to work on women rights, that's why, I acted in these two films. I feel honored to receive the awards."
