'Netrakona's Uchitpur attracting tourists'

 
Netrakona Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anjana Khan Majlis said Uchitpur haor and ghat in Netrokona, popularly known as "Mini Cox's Bazar", is attracting the tourist day by day.

She made the remarks while inaugurating the newly-constructed Uchitpur Tourist Center cum Rest House in Madan upazila of the district as the chief guest.

The DC said, "Thousands of tourists visit this tourist destination every day. Thus, the place has become a multi-dimensional business hub which is contributing to the economy of the area."

Through the construction of this rest house, tourists will get more facilities while visiting this "Mini Cox's Bazar", she added.   
Bangladesh Tourism Board financed the tourism center cum rest house.

Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tanzina Shahreen, Madan Upazila Chairman Habibur Rahman addressed the tourism center cum rest house inauguration program as special guest.

Among others, Madan Mayor Saiful Islam Saif, Upazila Awami League President Abdul Quddus, Upazila Vice-Chairman Mufti Anowar Hossain, UP chairmen and dignitaries of the area, different departmental officials, local media workers and ordinary people were present.
