Commerce Secretary gets 1 year extension

 
The government has extended the tenure of Senior Secretary of the Commerce Ministry Tapan Kanti Ghosh by one year on contractual basis. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular in this regard on Sunday.

Tapan Kanti Ghosh was promoted to Senior Secretary on December 30 in 2021. He joined the Commerce Ministry as Secretary on June in the same year.
Prior to joining the Commerce Ministry, he was serving as Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War. Tapan Kanti Ghosh obtained BSS (Hons) and MSS in economics from Dhaka University. He kicked of his career as a BCS (admin) cadre in 1989.
