BCC election: AL candidate announces 35-point manifesto
 
Awami League (AL) backed 14-party alliance mayor candidate Abul Khair Abdullah on Wednesday announced his 35-point manifesto for the upcoming Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election.

Khair Abdullah announced the election manifesto at a press conference at Crown Convention Center in Barishal.In the manifesto, he put emphasis on the implementation of a master plan to develop the city. While speaking the occasion, Khair Abdullah said, "I will adopt and implement a master plan with taking suggestions from all concerned and take necessary measures to ensure all civic facilities to the city dwellers."

The manifesto contains many crying needs of the city dwellers including the construction and repair of city roads to bring an end to traffic congestion, development of water and sewerage system to make the city free from water logging, water treatment plant to ensure clean and sufficient drinking water supply, installation of street lights, digging of canals in the city, proper management of vehicles.

While responding the queries of the journalists, he said, establishment of green, clean and environment friendly city, bringing natural gas from Bhola gas fields, setting up IT city and freelancing system for extending income generated new employment, modernizing health service centers in the city will get priority. Awami League Central Leader Balaram Podder, BCC chief election representative Advocate Afzlaul Karim along with other local leaders were present on the occasion.
