3 Eid films to hit cinemas tomorrow
Two romantic-action films starring Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan and another action-thriller starring sensational Porimoni in lead role will hit cinemas across the country on Tuesday celebrating Eid-ul-Azha. Shakib Khan stars in Raju Chowdhury's 'Shooter' and Shamim Ahmed Rony's 'Bossgiri' while Porimoni stars in Wajed Ali Sumon's 'Rokto'.
In 'Shooter' and 'Bossgiri', Shakib Khan has paired up with newcomer Shabnam Bubli, who will make her debut through these films. Shakib introduced her to the industry and gave a huge break in Eid films that disheartened the hero's long-time pair Opu Biswas, insiders have said.

Opu did not sign any film for the past few months, they said. Porimoni has also paired up with another newcomer Roshon in 'Rokto', an India-Bangladesh joint-venture film. In this sense it will be a contest between Shakib and Porimoni and acid tests for two newcomers to secure positions in the industry. Director Raju Chowdhury will present Shakib Khan in the role of a professional killer opposite debutant Bubli in the romantic action film 'Shooter'. Earlier, he enacted in a similar role opposite Indian actress Srabanti in an India-Bangladesh joint venture 'Shikari', which was released in Eid-ul-Fitr.

The director, however, claimed Shooter as an exceptional romantic-action film, which will be released in over 120 cinemas. Shamim Ahmed Rony's 'Bossgiri', featuring Shakib-Bubli, will present Shakib as a mafia don. Shamim Ahmed said the film will get appreciation for its attractive storyline, perfect use of dialect of Old Dhaka and bold performances of supporting actors like Indian Rajatava Dutt and Dhallywood actors Amit Hasan and Maznun Mizan.

'The film will be released in 120 cinemas,' the director said. Debutant Bubli said this Eid festival would be a special one for her. 'I will be eagerly waiting for the responses from the viewers', she said. Wajed Ali Sumon's action-thriller 'Rakto' will feature romantic actress Porimoni as an avenger. Newcomer Roshon helps her mission and subsequently a love develops between them. 'Rokto', a remake of a Telegu film titled 'Chandee', will be released in over 100 cinemas, sources said. Bangladesh Film Exhibitors Association general secretary expected that exhibitors would do good business releasing these big budget films.
