Diploma engineers stage protest in Cumilla

 
The diploma engineers on Sunday formed a human chain at Cumilla Town Hall to realise their 4-point demands.

Diploma Engineering Peshajibi Chhatra-Shikkhak Sangram Parishad and Cumilla District IDEB jointly orgnzied the protest rally.

Diploma Engineering Peshajibi Chhatra-Shikkhak Sangram Parishad Cumilla District Unit Convener Md Alek Hossain Jewel chaired the program while Dhaka District IDEB PResiednt ATM Golam Mostafa addressed as the chief guest.

IDEB Central Committee Vice-PResidnet (Dhaka Zone) Md Abdul Motaleb, IDEB Central Committee Vice-PResidnet (Cumilla Zone) Md Mukhlesur Rahman, IDEB Central Committee Ifnormation and Research Affairs Secretary Md Abul Kalam, IDEB Central Committee Executive Member Md Shahadat Hossain Howlader, IDEB Cumilla District General Secretary Md Hafiz Uddin spoke the rally as special guests.

All the diploman engineers from all engineering offices including teachers and students from all technical educational institutions in the district took part in the protest rally.

The program was conducted by Diploma Engineering Peshajibi Chhatra-Shikkhak Sangram Parishad Cumilla District Unit Member Secretary Md Golam Jilani.

Later, a procession was brought out and paraded various places of the district.
To mention, the 4-point demands include the withdrawal of the decision to cut short diploma engineering courses from 4 years to 3 years, arrangements of special increment.

promotion quota hike into 50 percent and standard salaries for all the diploma engineers, and resolving all the crisis at the technical educational institutions and ensure jobs for all unemployed diploma graduates.
