HAU holds discussion on 'Development vision of Bangabandhu'
Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU) organized a discussion titled 'Development vision of Bangabandhu' marking the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.
The discussion was held on Wednesday at 12:00pm on the university campus.
HAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Abdul Baset addressed the meeting as the chief guest while Chayanika Pondit, Associate Student Advisor of the university, was in the chair.

In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor said, " Bangabandhu envisioned the creation of a Sonar Bangla. On August 15, 1975, after the tragic assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by some misguided military personnel, the journey of Bangladesh's development was hindered. Subsequently, under the leadership of Bangabandhu's worthy daughter, Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has established itself as a role model for development."
"After making Digital Bangladesh, the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced to make country as 'Smart Bangladesh'."
The path to establishing a Smart University lies in the dedication and commitment of all the teachers, staff, and employees of Habiganj Agricultural University, each contributing from their respective positions. HAU Oceanography and Blue Economy Department Associate Professor Dr Arun Chandra Barman was special guest.

Abu Bakar Siddik, Animal Nutrition Department Lecturer Zakia Sultana Koly, Planning and Development Department Section Officer Md Golam Rabbani, Office Assistant (Computer Typist) Abul Kalam Azad, Raiyan Islam Rafi, a student of Faculty of Fisheries, and Umme Habiba Jannat, a student of Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, also spoke on the occasion.
