AA Desk : North South University (NSU) and Centerfor Policy Dialogue (CPD) today signed an MOU to collaborate on academic andresearch projects. Organized by Office of External Affairs of NSU, Vice-ChancellorProfessor Atiqul Islam and Dr Fahmida Khatun, Executive Director, CPD signed onbehalf of their respective organizations.
Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, Special Fellow, CPD, ProfessorDr. Hasan Mahmud Reza, Dean, School of Health & Life Sciences, NSU; ProfessorDr. Helal Ahammad, Dean, School of Business & Economics, NSU; Professor Dr.Javed Bari, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, NSU; ProfessorDr. Abdur Rob Khan, Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, NSU alsoattended.
Professor Atiqul Islam expressed his excitement about thecollaboration saying: “This partnership marks a pivotal moment in NSU's journeytowards excellence in academia and research.” He also hoped that thispartnership with CPD will yield groundbreaking outcomes and contribute to thedevelopment of our nation.
Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya observed that this collaborationaligns perfectly with CPD's mission of promoting evidence-based policy researchand advocating for sustainable development. “Together with NSU, we aim toaddress critical socio-economic challenges facing Bangladesh", he said.
Dr. Fahmida Khatun pointed out that CPD’s partnership withNSU is a testament to its commitment to fostering innovative research andknowledge exchange. “We are enthusiastic about the opportunities this alliancewill create for both institutions. We want a close relationship with youngstudents."
Dr. Katherine Li, the Director of NSU's Office of ExternalAffairs moderated the ceremony while Md. Shiyan Sadik, Lecturer of the Departmentof Environmental Science and Management at NSU welcomed.
