A R Rahman apologises to fans, promises to refund concert fees

The concert by A R Rahman, which occurred in Chennai on September 10, has faced significant criticism from fans due to poor event management. Attendees of the music maestro's concert took to the social media platform X to share videos and express their unusual and negative experiences online.

Numerous concert attendees used social media as a platform to convey their disappointment and raise several issues. They voiced concerns about the low volume, which resulted in the performance being barely audible for those positioned away from the stage. The overcrowding at the event led to panic attacks and anxiety among attendees, causing many passionate fans to vow never to attend another AR Rahman concert.

Reports also emerged of ticket holders being denied entry to the venue, and some fans went to the extent of tearing up their tickets in frustration. The concert caused a massive traffic jam, with fans complaining about organizers selling tickets far beyond the venue's capacity. Manobala Vijayabalan, a film trade analyst, shared a video of a dissatisfied fan tearing up their concert tickets, describing it as an "unforgettable event" and the "worst gift" from AR Rahman.

The discontent was so widespread that the hashtag #ARRConcert started trending on social media, with people sharing their grievances about the event. Fans also reported fights and chaotic scenes during the concert. Another attendee criticized the concert's organization, labeling it as "very poorly organized" and a "waste of money and energy." She also mentioned feeling stressed due to fights, disruptions at the event, and poor sound quality.
