Janaza of slain constable killed in BNP-police clash held
 
The namaz-e-janaza of the slain constable Md Amirul Islam Parvez was held on Saturday afternoon at Shaheed SI Siru Mia auditorium of Rajarbagh Police Lines.

Senior Secretary of Public Security Division Mustafizur Rahman, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional IGP and Special Branch Chief Md Monirul Islam, Additional IGPs, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman, other police officers, colleagues and relatives of the deceased participated in the janaza.

Constable Md Amirul Islam, was killed during yesterday's (October 28, 2023) clash between law enforcers and BNP men in the capital's Fakirapool. He was 33, and worked in DMP's Counter Terrorism Investigation-3. Parvez was survived by his wife and a five-year-old daughter, relatives and well-wishers.
After the janaza, senior secretary, IGP, leaders of Bangladesh Police Service Association, Additional IGP of Special Branch, DMP Commissioner and leaders of Bangladesh Police Women Network paid tribute to the coffin of the deceased.

A well-armed police team provided funeral guard to the deceased. The body was sent along with a police escort to his village at Charkatari village of Daulatpur police station in Manikganj district. He will be buried in his family graveyard.

Later, the IGP expressed profound shock and sorrow over the brutal killing of slain Constable Md Amirul Islam Parvez. In a condolence message, he said late constable Md Amirul Islam Parvez was a true patriot, duty obedient and brave police man.

The IGP prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Later, senior Secretary of Public Security Division Mustafizur Rahman, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional IGP and Special Branch Chief Md Monirul Islam, Additional IGPs, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman, other police officers, colleagues and relatives of the deceased also paid tributes by laying wreaths on the coffin.
