The van driver who turns a millionaire overnight!

 
A van driver became the owner of property worth crores of taka by brokering at Power Development Board (PDB), Sakhipur office.

Three-four years ago, the alleged Antar Ahmed used to work in the distribution of electricity bills. He has suddenly become the owner of car and house. This is like Aladdin's wonderful story. Now, it has become a talk of the town that how did he become the owner of so much wealth in a short period of time.

Antar came to Sakhipur in 2004 and started driving a van. Later, he worked as a private worker at Power Development Board (PDB), Sakhipur office. Then he used to pull ladder used by the workers for electricity work with the van. At one point, when he met the people of the electricity office, he took up the task of distributing electricity bills from house to house. While doing this work, he developed a relationship with the officials. Then he managed to earn huge money by lobbying for power lines, new meters for customers and replacement of transformers in the area.

In order to elevate political influence, he took pictures with influential leaders of the ruling party. To create party influence, he took pictures with MP of Sakhipur, MP of Bhaluka, senior official of power division, and organizing secretary of Awami League Mirza Azam MP and started posting on his Facebook. These pictures are now found hanging in the form of billboards in his house.

While talking to top leaders of district and upazila Awami League and other associate organizations, they said Antar has no political identify in our party. He is an outsider.

Recently, Sakhipur PDB Office Deputy Assistant Engineer Shafiqul Islam filed a general diary against Antar for threatening him to kill.

According to sources of PDB, Antar Ahmed used to introduce himself in various identities such as contractor or a top party leader. He used to threaten PDB officers verbally to transfer and promise to give someone a good job by bringing MP's DO letter etc.

According to Antar, he has posted the current Sakhipur PDB (Sales and Distribution) Executive Engineer here by bringing MP's DO letter. For this, the current Executive Engineer work as per his direction.

When Antar Ahmed was asked about these allegations, he denied all the allegations brought against him.
Abubakar Talukder, executive engineer of Sakhipur PDB (Sales and Distribution), said, "Everything is being done according to the rules, saying that one party is involved in a conspiracy against the electricity office."
