Jasad holds peace rally

The Dhaka City unit of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) held a peace rally at Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka on Thursday morning protesting BNP-Jamaat's violence, arson-terrorism, clandestine attacks and anarchy in name of their blockade programme. The rally of Jasad paraded the streets of Bangabandhu Avenue, Gulistan, Paltan and Topkhana road areas, BSS reports. Jasad Joint General Secretary Shawkat Raihan presided over the rally while Jasad leader Ahsan Habib Shamim conducted it.

Severl leaders including Jasad Joint General Secretaries Professor Mokhlechur Rahman Muktadir, Mohammad Mohsin and Mirza Md Anwarul Haque, Jatiya Sramik Jot-Bangladesh President Saifuzzaman Badshah, Dhaka South city unit of Jasad President Haji Idris Bepari and its General Secretary Sohel Ahmed addressed the rally, among others.

Speakers in the rally said that BNP-Jamaat has abandoned the normal way of constitutional democratic politics and turned into a terrorist force. They said the election will be held on time according to the constitution. BNP-Jamaat wants to come to power in an unusual way by resisting elections, they added.
