Bangabandhu 8th President Cup Fencing Tournament begins today

The Bangabandhu 8th President Cup Fencing Tournament is beginning from today in Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur 10, Dhaka. It will go on from 15 to 19 November 2023.

Planning Minister MA Mannan is scheduled to attend the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.

RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury MP & Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, former Commandant of National Defence College and ex Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals Lieutenant General (Retd) Sheikh Mamun Khaled, Additional Inspector General of Police and Chief, Anti Terrorism Unit SM Ruhul Amin and Parimal Singh, Secretary of National Sports Council will join the inaugural ceremony as special guests.

Fencers from Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Ansar-VDP and some other fencing schools will join the contest. The closing ceremony of the tournament will be held on 19 November 2023.
