Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah devoted his whole life to people's welfare

Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah was a great man and fulfilled with extraordinary quality who dedicated himself for the well being of the people, speakers said it on Saturday at the Jatiya Press Club in the capital while they were addressing a seminar titled 'Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah in the Service of Humanity'.  The Program was organized by the Health and WASA sector of Dhaka Ahsania Mission in line with the 150 birth anniversary commemoration program of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah.

Speakers further said life, work and spiritual arena of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah shine forth in a divine light and throughout India's extensive history spiritualists and social workers have emerged as distinct figures, but the fusion of spiritual insight and social organizing skills in a single individual is a rare phenomenon. His impact on spiritual development, educational and social reforms in undivided Bengal remains indelible, they added.

As the part of a birth anniversary commemoration Dhaka Ahsania Mission also would arrange a month long program including encompassing free medical services in various districts, cervical cancer screening, youth seminars, blood donation, art competition, school program, video messages by eminent individuals and the publication of a special report on his work and life.

The program was presided over by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission executive committee member Professor Dr. M Shamser Ali and keynote paper was delivered by the former NBR Chairman Md. Abdul Majid. Former Chief Information Commissioner Dr. Md. Golam Rahman was the chief guest and Press Institute DG Journalist Zafar Wazed was the special guest at the program. Ahsania Mission President Kazi Rafiqul Alam and Gholam Sharfuddin, Director Iqbal Masud, Dr. Naila Parveen also spoke at the event.
