Mohiuddin Ahmed new BTRC Chairman

 
Engineer Md Mohiuddin Ahmed was appointed as the chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

He is presently serving the telecoms regulator as vice-chairman, and will replace the present chairman Shyam Sunder Sikder on 14 December. He was made the chairman for the remainder of the second term of his contract i.e. from December 14, 2023 to May 29, 2025 in continuation of the present contract and on similar terms.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday.

Other terms of the appointment will be determined by the approved contract.
