Everybody knows that bricks are made with clay but has anyone heard about using clay to make biscuits? This strange thing has been found in a village at Kamalganj upazila under Moulvibazar district. This biscuit is called "singor" by local people.
Clay is solidified into hard earth to make biscuits. The local people take these biscuits with tea. These clay biscuits have gone viral on social media. It has been covered by a private satellite channel too.
Rashida Begum, one of the inhabitants of the above village, said that people in their locality like to eat clay biscuits with tea. These clay biscuits have different shapes and size. However, these biscuits are not popular with everyone in that village. Some people refer to these biscuits as "distasteful" things. Sugar is mixed with clay to make these biscuits. These biscuits are found in a few local tea stalls as well.
Some tourists who visited this village a few days ago took photographs of these biscuits and posted the pictures on social media. On the other hand, Maznu Mia, another inhabitant of the village said that clay biscuits are nothing new in their locality. People of their village have been familiar with clay biscuits for ages, Maznu Mia further said.
