Cumilla celebrates Christmas Day
 
Christmas Day, the largest religious festival of the Christian community, was celebrated in Cumilla district with much enthusiasm and festive mood on Monday.

Christian community chalked out various programs at various Baptist churches to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
To mark the occasion, a special prayer and music was held at the city's Badurtala Revival Baptist Church in the district led by Pasteur Dr Lawrence Timu Boiragi.

At end of a discussion, Superintendent of Police in Cumilla Abdul Mannan PPM (Bar) cut a cake with the children to celebrate the occasion.
Additional Superin tendent of Police (Admin & Finance) Mongnethwai Marma, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops) Khandaker Ashfaquzzaman, bpm, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Kazi Md Motiul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, District (DSB) DI-1 Syed Md Fazle Rabbi, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station Md Firoz Hossain along with other senior officials were present on the occasion.

On the ocassion, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Revival Baptist Church in Badurtala have been decorated and illuminated with colorful decorations.

Besides, special prayers were offered at different churches in the city with seeking peace, progress and prosperity of the world including Bangladesh.
