'Madrasa students should sing national anthem'
 
Students at madrasas across the country should sing the national anthem as the song is the main spirit of the Liberation War through which Bangladesh emerged as an independent country in the globe in 1971, said speakers while addressing a function at a madrasa in capital's Kadamtoli area on Wednesday (January 24, 2024).

Madrasatu Jabaley Nur arranged a reception program for meritorious students on its campus at Janatabagh under Ward No. 60 of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

RAB-10 Commanding Officer, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammad Farid Uddin said, "Children in the country including madrasa students must grow with patriotism as it is a part of faith. They should love country's culture, sing national anthem and respect our flag. Spirit of the 1971 Liberation War should be a driving force in their journey towards success."

He laid emphasis on giving priority to science, arts and other subjects along with religious studies in madrasas.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Lalbagh Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) (promoted to Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police) Zafar Hossain, Wari Division DC Md Iqbal Hossain, DC (DB) Tareque Ahmed spoke at the program with Madrasatu Jabalye Nur Principal Mufti Harunur Rashid in the chair.

Students, guardians, journalists and local elites were present at the function moderated by Poet Tarun Rasel. Madrasatu Jabaley Nur director Ashraf Uddin, also a sub-editor of Daily Alokito Bangladesh, thanked all to make the program successful with their presence.
