Jahanara Alam, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal with 13 other players representing Bangladesh, are among the 890 players hailing from 22 nations who eagerly await the upcoming drafts for The Hundred competition, scheduled for March 20.

Seven foreign cricketers at a maximum of 1 lakh 25 thousand pounds. There are nine players in the second highest category of 1 lakh. Shakib is the only Bangladeshi among the 14 cricketers in the 75 thousand pounds (about 1 crore 4 lakhs) category, reports agency.

There are two Bangladeshis in the 60 thousand pound (about 83 lakh 51 thousand taka) category, former ODI captain Tamim Iqbal and another opener Litton Das.

Two pacers Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam have entered the 50 thousand pounds (about 69 lakh 59 thousand taka) category.
Apart from this, the remaining 10 Bangladeshis have not get any price tag. There are Nasum Ahmed, Jaker Ali, Tanzid Hasan, Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Tawhid Hridoy, Shohidul Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Soumya Sarkar and Rony Talukder.

Jahanara is the only Bangladeshi in the women's draft. Ahead of the drafts, each of the eight men's teams had the opportunity to retain 10 players, while the women's teams could retain 8.

During the retention process, a total of 137 players were secured, leaving 75 spots yet to be filled come draft day. Additionally, a further 16 players, with two allocated per squad, will be incorporated into both the men's and women's teams through the Wildcard Draft before the commencement of the competition.

West Indies' Nicholas Pooran, Deandra Dottin and Shamar Joseph; Ireland's Orla Prendergast and Paul Stirling; Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews; South Africa's Lizelle Lee and Lungi Ngidi, Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahman have also put their names for the Draft day.
New Zealand's Kane Williamson, India's Smriti Mandhana, Australia's Meg Lanning and David Warner, and West Indies' Kieron Pollard are also the big names registered for the draft.

The Hundred 2024 starts on 23 July with Oval Invincibles hosting Birmingham Phoenix in a double header.
