Ahmed Kaikaus' PRL restored

The government has restored the post retirement leave (PRL) of the Prime Minister's former Principal Secretary Ahmed Kaikaus.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Wednesday which states that Ahmed Kaikaus will remain on PRL from 7 February 2024 to 6 February 2025. The government revoked the contract with Ahmed Kaikaus on 7 February. Administrative sources have informed that Ahmed Kaikaus' PRL has been restored over the fact that he holds dual citizenship.

Another reliable source has reported that there was a buzz that Ahmed Kaikaus might be granted a contractual appointed in any government organization. Ahmed Kaikaus was scheduled to go into retirement on 31 December 2020 but his PRL was postponed when he was appointed in the post of Principal Secretary.

Ahmed Kaikaus is currently serving the World Bank as its Alternative Executive Director.
