EWU arranges a merit scholarship awarding ceremony

 
East West University (EWU) provided the Merit Scholarship Award to 249 students from Spring, Summer, and Fall Semester 2023 students for excellent academic performance.

Most of the scholarship recipients were female at the ceremony which took place on Sunday (March 10, 2024) at the Manzur Elahi auditorium of EWU, in capital's Aftabnagar.

Mr Edimon Ginting, country director of Bangladesh Resident Mission of Asian Development Bank (ADB), was present at the function. He congratulated the award recipients and shared that he had also received a scholarship during his student life, which inspired him to achieve his current position, said a press release.

Mr Ginting encouraged the students to dream big and contribute to the country's growth. He emphasized that development is not just about constructing high buildings and flyovers but also about improving people's living standards through education and knowledge. Additionally, he presented the certificates to the scholarship recipients.

H N Ashequr Rahman, Member, Board of Trustees, EWU, was the special guest of the program. Professor Shams Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, EWU, delivered his welcome remark on the occasion.

Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder Vice Chancellor, EWU, was the program Chair. Members of the Board of Trustees, Pro Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Deans, Faculty Members, Officers, recipients, and their guardians were also present at the ceremony.
