Law-and-order situation in Daudkandi now better under OC Mozammel

 
The law and order situation in Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla has greatly improved since model police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mozammel Haque PPM joined in the upazila.

According to sources, the euphoria of peace among the general service aspirants is very noticeable. There are 15 unions and 1 municipality in the upazila. In most of the unions and municipality wards, there were no incidents except minor isolated incidents.

After joining of OC Mozammel, there is no drugs related incidents and robbery. Even the heinous incidents like murders have decreased in the upazila.
OC Mozammel Haque is playing a pivotal role in settling family disputes. The incidence of robbery in the 15 km area of Dhaka-Chittagong highway has decreased sharply. 

Also at the directive of Cumilla Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan, each union and ward based beat officer were ordered to be vigilant. Day and night non-stop patrolling of the police has kept the criminals under their cover. The police have a strict stand in eradicating drugs.

As the OC Mozammel vows to eradicate drugs, the drug business in the area has been reduced. Many drug dealers have already been arrested and sent to jail. To mention, OC Mozammel also stands by the side of various helpless people of the upazila and provides humanitarian aid. A few months ago, he stood beside a homeless mother and caught the attention of the entire upazila. According sources, he secretly helps various poor family members as much as possible.

While talking to The Asian Age, said, OC Mozammel said, "If every person works with responsibility, the society will be beautiful. When the society is beautiful, the country will be beautiful."

"I work for the people as much as I can with my utmost responsibility. If a helpless person seeks legal aid at the police station, I try my best to serve him for which I am assigned to", the OC said.

"Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced that her government will turn the country into 'Smart Bangladesh' by 2041. As a part of Bangladesh Police, I and Daudkandi Model Police Station are working relentlessly to expand the scope of police services and the aim is to provide smart police services to Daudkandi upazila," the OC added.
