Livestock Service week begins in Ghoraghat
 
Livestock Services Week-2024 has begun in Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur district on Thursday with the theme 'Smart Livestock, Smart Bangladesh'.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the two-day Livestock Services Week and Exhibition, aiming to encourage the dairy and poultry farmers.
A discussion and award-giving ceremony was organized to mark the week at Osmanpur Girls' High School premises.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rafiqul Islam presided over the program while Dinajpur District Livestock Officer (acting) Dr Sarowar Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Livestock Officer Biplob Kumar Dey, Upazila Livestock Extension Officer Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, Bulakipur UP Chairman Sader Ali Khandaker, Singra UP Chairman Sajjad Hossain, Ghoraghat UP Chairman Asaduzzaman Bhuttu, Upazila Farmers' Association President Shah Newaz, farmer Koushik Mondal addressed the occasion.

A total of 36 stalls took part in the exhibition. A total of 18 farmers were awarded in 6 categories.
