Rabiul Alam is appointed as the new chairman of the RU Anthropology Department

Associate Professor Kazi Rabiul Alam has been appointed as the new chairman of the Anthropology Department of Rajshahi University (RU).

He assumed this responsibility for the next 3 years after outgoing Chairman Professor Kamal Pasha, on Thursday afternoon. Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal Akand, Associate Professor Tahmina Nazneen, Mostafizur Rahman, Liton Hossain, Shamim Ahmed, Assistant Professor Mahmuda Fatema, Radia Awal Trisha, and S. M. Sanjid Rahman were present during the transfer of responsibility.

Later, the teachers of the department felicitated the new chairman, Associate Professor Kazi Rabiul Alam. After taking charge, he expressed the hope of making the academic activities of the department more dynamic while maintaining the glory and dignity of the department and forming a session-free department. Professor Kazi Rabiul Alam graduated from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Anthropology in 2000 and received his Master's degree in 2001. Later, on July 20, 2004, he joined the Department of Anthropology as a lecturer. He was promoted to Associate Professor on December 1, 2016.
