UAP hosts reception for Fall semester new students

University of Asia Pacific (UAP) welcomed the newly admitted students of Fall 2024 with an orientation program on Saturday, 25 January, 2025, at the UAP Plaza.

Architect Mahbuba Haque, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), UAP, was present as the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor, UAP, chaired the event. Foreign Secretary (Bilateral) and Inspector General of Missions, Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, were special guests at the program.

Mr. Qayum Reza Chowdhury, Member, BOT; Dr. M. Alauddin, Member, BOT; Professor Dr. Abu Sayeed Moshtaque Ahmed, Dean, School of Environmental Sciences and Design; Professor Dr. Tanveer Ferdous Saeed, Acting Dean, School of Engineering; Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine; Prof. Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily, Dean, School of Business; Professor Dr. Aloke Kumar Saha, Proctor, UAP; and Dr. A.S.M. Mohsin, Director, Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW) also spoke at the program. Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. AKM Nazrul Islam, Registrar, UAP, gave a welcome speech during the event.

Four successful former students of UAP were invited in the orientation to wish and inspire the new students. The heads of different departments, faculty members, administrative staff, students, and the guardians of the freshers also joined the event. After the program, the university administration organized an exchange meeting with the parents and guardians of the new students.
