Students urged not to involve with militancy
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chittagong Shamsul Arefin said that Islam never allows militancy as it a religion of peace.
Addressing an awareness meeting at Kazem Ali School and College as chief guest on Wednesday evening, Shamsul Arefin said, "The militants are killing innocent people to create anarchy. They are destroying prevailing peaceful environment by killing human being. They are tarnishing the image of Islam."
He called upon all the students to save themselves from wrong way of militancy. He said, "If anybody insists the students to engage with militancy in the name of Jihad, the students must inform their teachers, parents as well as the police to resist militancy." The meeting was chaired by Principal of Kazem Ali School and College Mohammad Gias Uddin. Editor of Bir Chattagram Mancha Syed Omar Faruk, Deputy Director of Narcotic Department Ali Aslam Hossain addressed the function as special guests. Several hundred students of Kazem Ali School and College attended the program.
