Born in Natore, Rajshahi, Layla grew up in a musically inclined family. Her father, Md. She was introduced to folk music at the age of 10 and regularly accompanied her father in performances across different regions of Bangladesh. Her deep-rooted connection with folk traditions played a crucial role in shaping her musical career.

Layla first gained national recognition after winning the popular reality show Close Up-1: TomakeiKhujchhe Bangladesh in 2012. This puts her ahead of many contemporary folk singers in terms of digital reach and popularity.

With a massive fan following, both in Bangladesh and internationally, Layla is a sought-after performer at concerts and cultural events. Her performances across various television networks and her involvement with organizations like Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy further solidify her reputation in the industry.
