Bangladesh Navy (BN) celebrated the country's Independence Day on Wednesday (26 March 2025) with a broad range of festivities in Dhaka, Chittagong, Barishal and Khulna.
Special monajats were held in various Bangladesh Navy bases across the country for the eternal peace of the departed souls of the martyred freedom fighters as well as for Bangladesh's continuous prosperity, peace, affluence and for the constant forward march of the Armed Forces of Bangladesh.
Parades and discussion programs were held in naval bases throughout Bangladesh with spotlight on the significance of the Independence Day. Schools and colleges run by Bangladesh Navy organized essay writing competitions, recital events and painting contests with participation of youngsters. Children with special needs took part in an art carnival hosted by the exclusive school "Ashar Alo".
Civilians were allowed to visit naval ships in Narayanganj, Chandpur, Khulna, Barishal and Dhaka from 12 pm to 4 pm. The visitors were highly delighted with their extraordinary experience of looking around different parts of naval frigates. The Maritime Museum in Chattogram was also free for all on account of the Independence Day and National Day of Bangladesh, according to a press release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
