Former Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur who is also President of Gono Odhikar Parishad has been sued for beating up leaders and activists of Anti-Discriminatory Students' Movement. A case was filed with Khulna Sadar Police Station against 29 people including Nurul Haque Nur on Monday night at around 9 pm (24 March 2025).
Another police case has been lodged against 4 more leaders of Gono Odhikar Parishad accusing them of assaulting and snatching money from leaders of National Citizens Party (NCP). On the other hand, 56 members of Anti-Discriminatory
Students' Movement have been indicted in another police case subjecting them to allegations of vandalizing offices of Gono Odhikar Parishad.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulna Sadar Police Station Sanwar Hossain Masum has told reporters that there have been so far three separate police cases from both Anti-Discriminatory Students' Movement and Gono Odhikar Parishad against one another. According to OC Sanwar Hossain Masum, investigation is going on and necessary action will be taken when Police Department's inquiry over the registered allegations is completed.
