Friendly cricket match held in Sarail

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, a friendly cricket match was held in Brahmanbaria's Sarail upazila on Tuesday (April 1, 2025).

At the initiative of Sarail upazila BNP's general secretary Advocate Nuruzzaman Lasker Tapu, the match was held between 'Sarail Legends' versus 'Kalikachchha Legends' at the ground of Sarail Govt College.

'Kalikachchha Legends' emerged as winner of the match and a prize-distribution ceremony was held thereafter with Sarail upazila BNP's President Anisul Islam Thakur in the chair.

Ahsan Uddin Khan Shipon, ex-vice president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal central committee and a member of Brahmanbaria district BNP's convening committee, Mridha Ahmedul Kamal, principal of Sarail Govt College, Md Rafiqul Islam Manik, headmaster of Kalikachchha Pathshala High School, Sujan Mia, news editor of The Asian Age, Dulal Mahmud Ali, organizing secretary of Sarail upazila BNP, Taslim Uddin, general secretary of Sarail Reporters Unity and The Asian Age Sarail upazila correspondent, Nurul Amin Master, joint convener of Sarail upazila Jubo Dal, Kajal Mia, president of Sarail Sadar BNP, Faruk Mia, president of Kalikachchha union BNP, Moniruzzaman Manik, general secretary of Kalikachchha union BNP, Jewel Thakur, Humayun Kazi were present at the programme, among others.

Speakers urged the young generation to remain involved in sports with a view to staying away from ill activities.

A good number of cricket-loving people enjoyed the match officiated by umpire Sumon Mia.
