Adviser Sharmin Murshid urges all to work for children's betterment

Adviser for Women and Children Affairs Ministry and Social Welfare Ministry Sharmin S. Murshid has said that everyone's cooperation is essential to carry out welfare for all citizens across Bangladesh including women and children. Sharmin S. Murshid was addressing a seminar held in the capital's Hotel Intercontinental on Tuesday. The seminar was focused on a project which aims at children's psycho-physical growth and training them up with swimming skills to save children from drowning. This project is being implemented at 45 upazilas across Bangladesh under 16 districts.

Adviser Sharmin S Murshid spoke at the above seminar as the chief guest principally highlighting the project's baseline, knowledge, attitude, practice and analysis.

Senior Secretary to Women and Children Affairs Ministry Mamtaj Ahmed NDC, Country Director of Synergos of Global Organizations Esha Hussain and Kelly Larson, Director of Public Health Division in Bloomberg Philanthropies talked at the seminar as special guests. Director General of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Dilara Begum spoke at the program too. Project Director Joint Secretary Abdul Quader gave the welcome speech. Deputy Executive Director Dr. Aminur Rahman presented the keynote paper.

Representatives from policymaking departments, development partners, media professionals and different local and international organizations that work for children's betterment attended the seminar.
