Bangladesh becomes ninth largest economy in Asia
Anuj Ahmed, AA Correspondent :  Bangladeshhas the ninth-largest economy in Asia. This ranking is based on its GDP size.Bangladesh's GDP is currently $450.5 billion, based on projections for 2024.


TheAsian Development Bank (ADB) recently released the 2025 Basic Statistics, whichcontain data on key economic indicators for Asian countries. The ADB hascalculated the GDPs of 46 nations; however, Japan is not included in the list.

Accordingto ADB statistics, Bangladesh is now the largest economy in South Asia afterIndia, making it the second-largest economy in South Asia.

China,India, South Korea, Indonesia, Taipei, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippineshave larger economies than Bangladesh.

Chinahas the largest economy in Asia, with a GDP of $18,965 billion. India's GDPstands at $3,914 billion, and South Korea's GDP is $1,869.5 billion.

Inaddition, Indonesia's GDP is $13,963 billion, Taipei's GDP is $7,959 billion,Thailand's is $5,405 billion, Vietnam's is $4,763 billion, and the Philippines'is $4,614 billion.
