Russian Foreign Ministry slams Zelensky's statements refusing a truce

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's statements refusing a truce during the days of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory are a direct threat to the leaders of foreign states who will come to Moscow for the parade, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS.

She emphasized that Zelensky "unambiguously threatened world leaders." "After every terrorist attack on Russia's territory, the Kiev regime, its security services, and Zelensky personally boast that this is their doing that this will continue. Therefore, the phrase that he 'does not guarantee security on May 9 in Russia' as it is not his area of responsibility is, of course, a direct threat," the diplomat stated.

According to her, Zelensky's comments further expose the neo-Nazi nature of the Kiev regime, "which has become a terrorist cell."
Statements by the Kiev regime regarding the proposed truce during the Victory Day celebrations demonstrate the neo-Nazi foundation of the Ukrainian leadership, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing. "The regime's unwillingness to give a direct response to Russia's proposal clearly shows that neo-Nazism is the ideological backbone of today's Kiev authorities," he emphasized.

"Apparently, the victory over Hitler's Germany, over the brown plague and Nazism, is not a holiday for them," Peskov added.
The Kremlin has no information regarding a possible visit to Moscow by US Secretary of State Mark Rubio on May 9, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in response to a related question.

"I don't have any information [on Rubio's visit to Moscow on May 9]. American media are currently publishing all sorts of reports, and sometimes you just can't make heads or tails of what they're talking about. But in this case, I just don't have such information," Peskov said.
