Foodpanda Bangladesh clinches title

In a landmark moment for corporate sports in Bangladesh, Foodpanda Bangladesh Ltd. emerged as the Champion of the inaugural FICCI Football Tournament 2025, defeating DHL with a narrow 1-0 victory in a high-stakes Cup Final at Nutmeg Dhaka on Friday evening.

After a goalless first half, the breakthrough came in the second half when Foodpanda earned a penalty. Sayem calmly converted from the spot, delivering what would be the match-winning goal. Despite relentless pressure from DHL in the final minutes, Samir, Foodpanda's goalkeeper, stood tall with a heroic performance that earned him both the Player of the Final and the Best Goalkeeper (Golden Gloves) awards.

Saikat (DHL) was named Player of the Tournament for his consistent and impactful performances throughout the competition. The Top Scorer (Golden Boot) award was shared by Shahnur (DHL), Joyim (Foodpanda), and Babu (Banglalink)-each scoring 5 goals in the tournament.

Earlier in the evening, the Plate Final saw Amann Bangladesh Ltd. claim victory over Grameenphone Ltd. in a dramatic penalty shootout after a goalless draw in regular time. Tamal, Amann's goalkeeper, played a decisive role with multiple saves and was named Player of the Plate Final.

The Grand Finale was graced by Mr. Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation, who attended as the Chief Guest and handed over the Champions Trophy to Foodpanda.
