District Dev Coordination Committee meeting held in Kurigram

 
A meeting of the District Development Coordination Committee was held in Kurigram on Sunday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nusrat Sultana presided over the meeting held at the conference room of the DC office in the morning.

The measures to prevent illegal sand lifting, child marriage and casualties due to lightning strikes were discussed in the meeting.

DC Nusrat Sultana directed the authorities concerned to implement the unfinished projects immediately with a view to ensuring sustainable development at upazila level and sought cooperation from all government and non-government organizations to this end.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Uttam Kumar Roy, Civil Surgeon Swapan Kumar Biswas.

, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Firuzul Islam, District Information Officer Shahjahan Ali,  senior journalists Sayed Ahmed Babu, Rashidul Islam Rashid spoke at the meeting, among others. Local journalists were present at the meeting.

Following the meeting, DC Nusrat Sultana distributed cheques among destitutes on behalf of Islamic Foundation.
