Renowned actor Shahriar Nazim Joy was awarded the Best Actor of 2025 at the Kidlon-Powered 4th BIFA Awards, held at the BCFCC Hall of Fame, for his stellar performance in the acclaimed web film Jimmi.

The award was presented by Engineer Ishraque Hossain Abdus Salam, Chairman of Ekushey Television (ETV), in a grand ceremony attended by stars and industry leaders.

Shahriar Nazim Joy, a household name in Bangladesh’s entertainment scene since 1997, has acted in over thousands of television dramas and numerous films, including Jiboner Golpo, Amar Maa, and Proarthona. His contributions to the OTT space have earned critical acclaim both locally and internationally. His powerful portrayal in Jimmi once again confirmed his range and mastery as an actor.

Joy is celebrated not only for his performances but also for his work as a writer and host of popular talk shows like Sense of Humor and 300 Seconds. His widespread popularity extends to platforms like Facebook and YouTube, each boasting over 1 million followers.

The event was a star-studded affair featuring appearances by Rojina, Porimoni, Tanjin Tisha, Safa Kabir, Afran Nisho, Siam, Emon, Shahiduzzaman Selim, and Tariq Anam Khan. In addition to the awards, the evening included a fashion show led by Nirob and Apu Biswas and vibrant dance performances by PrarthonaFardinDighi and Barisha Haque. Other honorees of the night included Chanchal Chowdhury, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Singer Imran, Kona, and many more. Speaking at the event, Kidlon’s Managing Director Antu Kareem highlighted the organization’s commitment to recognizing outstanding contributions in media and entertainment, saying, “We are proud to honor talents like Shahriar Nazim Joy, who continue to elevate Bangladesh’s creative landscape.”
