Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh on Friday staged demonstration in front of Baitul Mukarram National Mosqque in the capital raising four demands including the abolition of the Women Reform Commission.

The Islamist platform began the protest rally on the north side of the mosque shortly after the Juma prayers. A good number of leaders and activists of the group joined the programme arranged by the Dhaka city unit of the organization.

Hefazat leaders announced their demands: abolishing the Women's Reform Commission,

ensuring justice for all victims of state violence including incidents at Shapla Chattar and in July of previous years, the withdrawal of what they claim are false legal cases filed against Hefazat members, and an end to the alleged genocide of Muslims in Palestine and India.

After the rally, a protest procession was brought out, which ended in Bijoynagar.
