Ansar-VDP personnel's effective disaster response in Khagrachhari

Officers and troops of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) did a lot of hard work yesterday to restore communication in Khagrachhari Hill District which was heavily damaged by torrential rainfall. The Ansar-VDP personnel made the best of their efforts to remove muds and fallen trees from the hilly roads with shovels, spades and pickaxes to reduce the sufferings of local people.

The Ansar-VDP members also built up makeshift roads and embankments to facilitate the movement of local residents. Director General of Ansar-VDP Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud admired the strong initiatives being implemented by Ansar-VDP members under inclement weather conditions in Khagrachhari.
