Fascism has fallen, but goal yet to be achieved: Nazrul Islam Khan
BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan on Wednesday said though "fascist rule" has fallen, but the goal has not been achieved yet.
"The goal for which we have ousted fascism has not been achieved yet. The people of Bangladesh have not yet been able to establish their elected government by exercising their fundamental right to vote," he said.
Nazrul made the remarks while talking to journalists after laying wreaths at Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman's grave in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, reports BSS.
He said, "We, therefore, believe that the main task at this moment is to establish people's rule with the aim of fulfilling the aspirations of the martyrs and building a humane, democratic, and progressive modern Bangladesh.
